Day 1 –  Santiago

On arrival into Santiago Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your home for the next few days. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy!

Day 2 – Santiago

Today, immerse yourself in a comprehensive cultural tour of Santiago, exploring the city’s prominent attractions and its vibrant cultural, cosmopolitan, and artistic scenes. The journey commences with a visit to the key landmarks in the city’s civic center, including the iconic La Moneda Palace, the presidential headquarters, and the historic Plaza de Armas square, a gathering point for Santiago’s diverse and multicultural expressions. Within the vicinity, you’ll encounter buildings of great historical significance, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Historical Museum, and the Central Post Office.

Continuing on foot, you’ll proceed to the Pre-Columbian Museum, founded in December 1981 by Chilean philanthropist Sergio Larraín. His remarkable collection of pre-Columbian art from across the Americas has been contributed to the community, enhancing the understanding and appreciation of the heritage of ancient American civilizations. Over time, the museum’s interests have expanded to include the art of indigenous peoples, resulting in a diverse collection that stands as a valuable testament to the richness of American culture. The museum houses exceptional works of art that showcase the diversity of American civilizations, with a particular highlight being the valuable Andean textile collection, featuring pieces dating back over 3,000 years. The museum also exhibits Chinchorro mummies, the world’s oldest, alongside ceramics, metalwork, and stone artifacts that are true masterpieces from Mayan, Aztec, Andean, Amazonian, Caribbean cultures, as well as an outstanding collection of art from the societies that once inhabited the territory of modern-day Chile.

Following your visit to the museum, the tour proceeds to one of the city’s primary culinary hubs—the Central Market. Afterward, you’ll cross the Mapocho River to reach the lively Barrio Bellavista, celebrated for its bohemian and culturally vibrant atmosphere. Here, you’ll explore “La Chascona,” a house that Pablo Neruda initiated construction on in 1953 for his secret love at the time, Matilde Urrutia.

To conclude this enriching day, your journey takes you to the western district of the capital to visit the Museum of Memory. This space is dedicated to shedding light on human rights violations committed by the State of Chile between 1973 and 1990, honoring the victims and their families, and encouraging reflection and dialogue on the importance of respect and tolerance, in order to prevent such events from occurring again. Following this visit, you will be transported back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3 – Santiago

Today is a free day to explore the city at your own pace. Explore Santiago’s local markets, buy tickets to a local Chilean football game, pack a picnic and head to a beautiful city parks, or enjoy a couple of Pisco Sours on one of Santiago’s famous rooftop bars.

Day 4 – Santiago

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for you return flight, or to carry on with your own arrangements
