A right Irish night out

Ireland: The Luck of the Irish

Our evening is a farewell to our fellow explorers and a celebration of all things Irish as we kick up our heels with some traditional Irish dancing, a few ‘jars’ and a traditional Irish dinner. This quintessential Irish experience showcases the best of traditional Irish music, dance, and storytelling. Set in the heart of the Dublin Mountains, this lively performance captures the essence of Irish culture with its spirited music, captivating dance routines, and engaging narratives. We will be treated to an authentic taste of Ireland’s rich heritage as talented musicians and dancers take the stage, delivering a performance filled with energy and enthusiasm.

An evening of Flamenco

Spain and Morocco: Moor than a Myth

Our evening is spent in the coastal mecca of Malaga. Although very much a modern-day city, the apartment blocks and ‘expat’ clubs of Malaga and the Costa del Sol hide an undercurrent of ancient traditions. None more captivating than the dance that Spain holds at its heart – flamenco. Home to the Flamenco Museum, Malaga hosts a bi-annual flamenco festival with dancers, musicians and fans flooding its streets and stages. Year round one can still find authentic shows. The artform of flamenco combines song, guitar and dance as it weaves its story, rousing an emotional reaction from its audience. Originally performed by the native Roma peoples of Andalusia, Flamenco creates a state of mind that is difficult to ignore. Its musical style, where the lyrics often express loneliness and heartbreak, can be compared to the American blues scene with the intensity of the performance stirring deep sentiment.

A feast of Fado

A Mediterranean Feast

Step into the heart of Portuguese culture with an authentic Fado night, where soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics weave tales of love, longing, and the essence of the Portuguese spirit. Dinner is a series of Portuguese delicacies presented in a former palace, but it is the Fado which is the highlight. We settle into the cozy ambiance of our traditional venue, to the strains of the Portuguese guitar as it sets the stage for an unforgettable evening. We are transported on a journey through the ages, feeling the emotions of each haunting melody. Fado, with its melancholic undertones and passionate vocals, captures the essence of Portugal’s history and soul. Each rendition resonates with authenticity and depth, leaving an indelible impression on our hearts.
